Senior*Principal Research Engineer - Cambridge
Experienced research engineer with an outstanding research track record required for leading provider of 16*32-bit embedded RISC microprocessor solutions in Cambridge. You must have a PhD degree in Computer Science*Engineering with experience in code generation for modern RISC architectures, or 6+ years experience post graduation including 2+ years experience of code generation for modern RISC architectures. You must be fluent in C and C++, object oriented design, and Haskell*ML, and must have a detailed specialist knowledge of compiler construction, code generation for high performance processors, SSA representation, and Loop Restructing*Optimization. You must also have experience of all phases of a full software product development lifecycle. Knowledge in any of the following areas would be an advantage: microprocessor architecture; algorithm design (esp. media, signal processing & numerical); Linux kernel; embedded software development. You will be involved in research on next generation compiler code generation technology. Good communication skills are essential, and you must be a self starter who is highly motivated, highly proactive and able to work either individually or as part of a team. You must show initiative in pursuing problems and identifying research areas of interest, and should demonstrate technical leadership skills.
